We teach two traditional Buddhist meditation practices:
The Mindfulness of Breathing:
using awareness of the body and breathing in four simple stages to develop a deeper concentration, awareness, calm and contentment.
Metta Bhavana:
using awareness of our emotional life to develop closer, more harmonious and receptive relations with others in our everyday lives.
As well as one of these practices, at each class we start with a Mindfulness of the Body meditation as preparation, and conclude with the study of a text on one aspect of the Buddha's teaching.
